PTO (Parent Teacher Organization)

What is PTO?

PTO, or Parent Teacher Organization, is a non-profit corporation made up of enthusiastic parent and teacher volunteers who make a difference on campus by creating fundraising and community events to enhance the educational experience of all students and families at Skyline Elementary School. PTO acts as a liaison of communication between the school administration, teachers, parents, and students. Skyline PTO relies on parent participation to provide our student body with lasting memories of their elementary school years.

Through our ongoing fundraising events, Skyline PTO is able to provide support throughout the school for things including (but not limited to) supporting our staff with supplies and appreciation, providing additional resources to school specials (art, music, gym, science, library), bringing in special guest speakers for the students, and contributing to the school’s beautification.

We do this by community donation as well as by providing fun memorable experiences. Skyline PTO endeavors to run fundraising and non-fundraising projects that support the mission of parent involvement, children’s well being, community betterment, and cooperation between school and home. All PTO funds go to directly benefit our children and our school.

How can I help?

Stay Connected.

In addition to the school monthly email newsletter, Skyline PTO holds regular meetings. Meetings are usually held on the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of the month throughout the school year. Meetings are generally available both in person and virtual. For more information check the Skyline calendar.

Get Involved.

Volunteering to help with events allows Skyline PTO to create memorable experiences. We can always use planning and day of assistance as well as continued ongoing volunteers throughout campus on a regular basis. For more information on opportunities to assist please reach out to [email protected].

Contribute.

Membership to Skyline PTO is free, however we are constantly on the search for supplies to help the school, create events & experiences, and care for our Skyline citizens. These donations could be monetary and/or gifts-in-kind. We are a 501c3 organization, which makes gifts tax deductible.
